CHITTAGONG: Law enforcers submitted three charge sheets against 13 leaders and activists of Jamaat-Shibir in the sensational case of attacking one schoolgirl named Antu Barua in the port city during hartal hours of March 28, 2013.
Investigation officer of the case Sub-Inspector of Kotwali Thana Kamruzzaman submitted the charge sheets before the court on Thursday.
City Police Assistant Commissioner (Prosecution) Nirmolendo Bikash Chatterjee told banglanews, “We got three separate charge sheets and the process will be completed soon.”
On March 28, 2013, a group of Shibir men blasted several crude bombs while picketing at Hemsen Lane under Kotwali Police Station on the second day of the 36-hour countrywide shutdown enforced by the BNP-led 18-party alliance on Thursday.
Antu Barua, a Class-IX student of Aparna Charan City Corporation Girls’ High School, sustained injuries in the right eye as a crude bomb blasted while she was going to a attend coaching classes.
Later, on March 29, Sub-Inspector Jafar Iqbal filed a case with Kotwali Thana.
