JESSORE: Police detained 70 people, including seven activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, in a nightlong drive conducted across the district.

Jessore police spokesperson and also Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Reshma Sharmin told banglanews that, of the detainees, six are activists of BNP and one of Chhatra Shibir.

The rest are accused of different cases, she added that the detainees would be produced before the court
