DHAKA: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader questioned BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s no confidence on Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
“Khaleda Zia is a member of army family. Why can’t she have faith in CMH?” said Quader.
The minister made the remarks to reporters after inspecting traffic conditions in Mohakhali Bus Terminal on Thursday (June 14).
“There is not a better hospital than CMH. I want to know whether BNP wants Khaleda’s treatment or it is making a political issue out of this. They, who dislike CMH, can’t help thinking other than seeking political issue. They (BNP), after failing in all issues, are seeking a new issue here too,” Obaidul Quader said.
Speaking about bus, he said, “There are enough buses in bus terminals for Eid journey. The extra buses, if necessity arises, will come under operation for the ease of the passengers.”
When asked about irregularities, Obaidul Quader, also, general secretary of ruling Awami League said “No allegations were made about collection of extra fare. However, BRTA vigilance team will take action given that they are notified,”
