A Dhaka court today showed Salman F Rahman, former private industry and investment affairs adviser to ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, arrested in four separate cases filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) over alleged embezzlement through banking irregularities.
The ACC filed the cases earlier this year.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge’s Court passed the order after police produced Salman before it and pleaded to show him arrested in the cases. Following the order, he was sent back to jail.
Salman was arrested on August 13, 2024, while allegedly attempting to flee via waterways. He has since been remanded in multiple cases filed during the anti-discrimination student movement.
