Rizvi leads sudden procession for Khaleda’s release The rally

DHAKA: BNP leaders and activists brought out a sudden procession in Dhaka, led by its Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, demanding immediate release of their party chief Khaleda Zia. 

They brought out the procession in Kalyanpur area of the capital city, at 8am Friday (June 22).

The Rizvi-led rally was brought out demanding release and proper treatment of the Chairperson, BNP Central Executive Committee member Prof Aminul Islam told Banglanews.

More than one hundred leaders and activists of Dhaka Metropolitan West unit BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and several other associate bodies of the party joined the rally.

The rally lasted only for 15 minutes which was started from Kalyanpur Bus stand and stopped at Shyamoli. 

“It isn’t any announced program. The party chairperson is in jail. Therefore, we are protesting (it). Anyone can hold a protest rally anytime and anywhere. It requires no announcement”, Rizvi told Banglanews while attending the rally.
