DHAKA: Mentioning that Khaleda Zia needs to get bail in three more cases out of six, BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed said she will be released soon and a new political tide will be emerged that government wont be able to stop.
He made the remarks at a program demanding Khaleda’s release at national press club on Friday noon (June 29).
Moudud said the government has tried a lot to delay Khaleda’s release but she will be back among us very soon. Bail is a fundamental right. Any person has the right to get bail according to law. However, Khaleda has been kept in prison by misusing the law.
On the issue of upcoming general election, he said, “Only few moths left for the election that will decide the fate of 16 crore people of the country. It will be an ordeal to reestablish democracy, voting rights rule of law and independent judiciary.”
The BNP leader also claimed that the Gazipur City Corporation election was a hoax and completely rigged by the ruling party.
