DHAKA: Leaders of 20-party alliance led by BNP sat in a meeting on Wednesday (March 24) to hold discussion on moves ahead of the upcoming Rajshahi, Barisal, Sylhet city polls and initiatives for BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s release.

The meeting, chaired by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, began at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s political office in Gulshan, at 4:15pm.   

BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member Mawlana Abdul Halim, Jatiya Party general secretary Mostafa Jamal Haider, BJP chairman Barrister Andalib Rahman Partho, Chairman of Bangladesh Kalyan Party Major General (retd) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim (Bir Pratik), Secretary General MM Aminur Rahman, Bangladesh NAP Chairman Jebel Rahman Ghaani, Secretary General M Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, NDP Chairman Khandaker Golam Mortaza, NPP Chairman Dr. Fariduzzaman Farhad, Senior Joint Secretary General of LDP Shahadat Hossain Selim, President of Jagpa Professor Rehana, General Secretary Khandaker Lutfar Rahman, Khelafat Majlish Secretary General Dr. Ahmed Abdul Quader, DL General Secretary Saifuddin Ahmed Moni, Labor Party (partial) Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Iran, (the other part) Secretary General Hamdullah Al-Mehdi, BML President AHM Kamruzzaman Khan, Secretary General Sheikh Zulfikar Bulbul Chowdhury, People's League Secretary General Syed Mahbub Hossain, Jamiat Ulama Islam organizing secretary Mufti Rezaul Karim and General Secretary of the Islamic Party Abul Kashem attended the meeting.
