DHAKA: BNP standing committee member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said they along with the people will wage a public movement by establishing a national unity and compel the government to hold a fair election under an impartial election-time government.

“Awami League is afraid of the people. Because, no sign of this autocratic government will exists if the people can exercise their voting rights. Therefore, (Awami League) is trying to sustain in power through arranging another voter-less and farcical election. But, the people won’t let them fill the desire,” he said.

“The people can’t be dodged in a similar style repeatedly,” Khandaker Mosharraf added.

He was addressing a discussion organized by Khelafat Majlish, at the conference lounge of the Jatiya Press Club Saturday (July 7).

Khelafat Majlish Amir Principal Maolana Mohammad Ishaq chaired the discussion.
