61 held in special drive in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH: Police in overnight special drives detained 61 people including 11 drug peddlers and eight BNP-Jamaat men from different upazilas of Jhenaidah on Wednesday (July 11).

The raid started on Tuesday night and ended on Wednesday morning, said Jhenaidah Superintendent of Police (SP) Mizanur Rahman.

BNP-Jamaat men and drug peddlers are among the detainees. Polcie also seized some narcotics during the district wide drives, he added.
