DHAKA: Obaidul Quader, also, general secretary of ruling Awami League said Bangladesh government has nothing to do with India's denial of entry to Alexander Carlile, who is a legal adviser for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
“The matter is totally up to Indian government. It doesn’t concern us, who will go there, and who won’t,” he added.
Obaidul Quader, also, the Road Transport and Bridges Minister said told reporters while inspecting the road condition in Chandra area of Gazipur on Friday (July 13).
“Why Bangladesh would take this matter into consideration? Why would we like to deal with an issue which is in fact India’s internal issue? It’s none of our business,” he also said.
On Wednesday night (July11), India refused entry to British lawmaker Alexander Carlile in New Delhi on the grounds that his visa was cancelled.
Therefore, Khaleda’s lawyer could not hold a press briefing.
