DHAKA: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal claimed that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is fine in jail.

The minister came up with the claim in a regular program titled ‘Meet the Reporters' of Dhaka Reporters Unity on Tuesday (July 17).

Kamal said, “BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is fine in jail. Prison physicians are regularly inspecting her health conditions. I myself inquire about her health contacting Inspector General (IG) of Prison.”

“Nothing serious happened to Khaleda Zia to the extent BNP leaders and activists are raising an issue about her illness. She is not even afflicted with any new disease. Doctors are concerned about Khaleda’s old diseases,” he added.

However, the minister was not specific whether Khaleda Zia would be taken to United Hospital or is there any complications to this matter.
