DHAKA: Lawyers and family members of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia have meet with her in jail on Saturday afternoon (July 21).

Khaleda Zia’s lawyer former attorney general AJ Mohammad Ali and party’s Law Affairs secretary advocate Sanaullah Mia entered the old central jail around 4:00pm and exited at 4:45pm. 

As the lawyers departed, five family members of Khaleda Zia entered the jail gate to meet her. 
The family members are- Khaleda Zia’s sister Selima Islam, her husband Rafiqul Islam, Niece Sayman Islam and nephew Dr. Mamun and Masud.

After the meeting, lawyer Sanaullah Mia told reporters that Khaleda Zia is very ill and that they have discussed about the cases. 

On February 8, A special court in Dhaka sentenced five years imprisonment to Khaleda Zia in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. She was sent to jail following the verdict.
