Nothing new in PM’s remarks: Rizvi BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi speaking at the press conference

DHAKA: Claiming that PM Sheikh Hasina’s Saturday reception created disdain among people, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi asked ruling party leaders to conduct intelligence inquires on how actually people felt about the reception.

The senior BNP leader made the remarks at a press conference in city’s Naya Paltan party office on Sunday (July 22).

Rizvi claimed that the reception program caused city dwellers immense sufferings and created disregard in their heart.

He also criticized the Prime Minister for saying- the country has made tremendous progresses. “We have seen the example of her (PM) development but we would have been very pleased if she could give an explanation of the Bangladesh Bank gold scam. In her remarks, she did not mention any of the actual corruption but kept lying to the people. So there was nothing really new in her assertions.”

“We all have censorship imposed on our expression and speech but only one person has no restriction. She (PM) can tell or do whatever she likes as she has unlimited power. She claimed she has changed people’s fate but when we walk on the road we don’t see fortunate faces, Rizvi added.
