DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi condemned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL)’s attack on a private university students and journalists in city’s Dhanmondi area on Friday (August 4).

The senior BNP leader came up with the remarks at a press conference in city’s Naya Paltan party office on Saturday (August 4).

Rizvi said, “Members of BCL launched an attack on a private university student in city’s Dhanmondi area on Friday. Even reporters also came under attack while filming at the site. People and parents will not forgive if student are harmed for stating rightful demonstration.”

He also said media reports suggest that the government is trying to suppress this students’ peaceful movement using brute force. Therefore, ruling party men will be dispatched at every intersection of the city.

“The consequence of the attack will be very bad. Not only people, this voter less government is not even trusted by children, university students,” Quader said.
