SYLHET: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid urged agitating students to have patience and go back to classrooms as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina assured to fulfill their demands.
The minister said this to reporters after attending the 3rd convocation of Metropolitan University located in Sylhet Cantonment area on Saturday (August 4).
Nahid said, “Students’ demands are being implemented. This will mitigate students’ grievance to some degree. Hopefully, they will return to classes. Everyone has to be conscious so that such a situation doesn’t happen again in future.”
Nurul Islam Nahid also grieved for the death of two students in a tragic road accident on the city’s Airport Road. He expressed his full support for the trial of the accused.
