DHAKA: Hearings of 11 cases filed against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia were deferred till September 9.

Judge KM Imrul Kayes of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court passed the order.

The hearings were scheduled to take place at the makeshift court installed in Bakshibazar of old Dhaka Sunday (August 5).

Khaleda Zia’s lawyers Advocate Sanaullah Mia and Ziauddin Zia appealed for adjourning the hearings.  

Of the cases, 8 were filed with Darussalam Police Station over arson charges in 2015.
