DHAKA: Sensing that a plot to oust the government is in progress in the country, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader termed it a 1/11 like conspiracy.  

“A part of the media assisted those who wanted to depoliticize the country in 1/11. That quarter of the media is now plotting to oust the Sheikh Hasina government by provocation,” he said.

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, made the remarks while addressing a rally in Eden Mohila College in Dhaka on Thursday noon (August 16).

Eden Mohila College BCL unit arranged the meeting on occasion of National Mourning Day.
Quader said, “When all of Bangladesh is mourning for Bangabandhu, BNP has established dirty example of celebrating fake birthday of their chairperson. They are also the one hatching conspiracy to overthrow the government.”

The minister also termed the killing of Bangabandhu as the most barbaric killing of history when even child, pregnant woman were not spared.
