DHAKA: A Dhaka court placed Lutfur Nahar Luna, a quota reform leader, into three-day remand in a case filed under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Kaji Kamrul Islam passed the order after Rafiqul Islam, investigation officer of the case, produced Luna before his court seeking a 5-day remand on Thursday (August 16).
Lawyer Jayedur Rahman moved for Luna in court.
The arrestee was identified as Lutfur Nahar Luna, 21, daughter of Abdul Kuddus, hails from Baikhola village of Kashiani upazila. She is a student of Eden College.
Earlier, the case was filed under ICT act during quota reform movement on April 8.
Police arrested Lutfur Nahar Luna from Khidrachapri area of Belkuchi upazila of Sirajganj district on Wednesday (August 15).
