‘No scope to avert constitutional electoral process’ Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader at the program

DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said there is no chance to move away from the constitutional electoral process ahead of the general election.

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, made the remarks to reporters at a program in National Museum auditorium in city’s Shahbagh area on Saturday noon (August 18).

Awami League Publicity and Publications sub-committee organized the program titled ‘Bangladesh stand against rumor terrorism-Propaganda’ with AL Publicity and Publications secretary Dr. Hasan Masud MP in chair.

In response to a question whether BNP will join polls if electoral process is changed, Quader said, “Our electoral process is determined by constitutional provisions and there is no way to deviate from such provisions.”

Warning students and city dwellers to be aware and obey traffic rules, Quader said, “The students’ movement for safe roads and their demands are logical. Students have jolted those men who obstructed me from doing the right thing.”
