NOAKHALI: Police detained an activist of Jubo Dal in Khilpara union under Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali.

He was identified as Parvez.

A LG and two cartridges were recovered from his possession.

Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed Parvez in a drive carried out in Sreepur village.

The detainee is accused in 11 cases filed over arms, mugging and other charges. Preparations are underway to file another case against him, said Chatkhil Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury.

However, family members of the detainee organized a press briefing, demanding him to be freed.
