THAKURGAON: Alleging Awami League of creating crisis over polls and politics, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said an impartial election is never possible to be held under authorization of a party-led government.
“The election is knocking at the door. It won’t be accepted if you say there is no crisis,” he said.
Fakhrul was exchanging greetings with reporters, on occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha, at his Thakurgaon residence Thursday (August 23).
He termed the mindset of the government ‘autocratic’ for not allowing the BNP leaders and activists to meet convicted BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at jail, on Eid day Wednesday (August 22).
Fakhrul further criticized the government for denying the oppositions to hold any meeting, rally or coming out to the streets.
