DHAKA: BNP standing committee members sat in a closed-door meeting at party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s political office in the capital’s Gulshan Friday (August 24).

Beginning around 5pm, the meeting lasted for almost two hours. 

None of the leaders has disclosed anything about the discussion.

“They (the leaders) sat over to-do’s of post-Eid time. No such decisions are made worth to be disclosed to media,” Shairul Kabir Khan, press wing member to the BNP chief, told Banglanews.     

Contacted, BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan echoed the same.

The senior leaders includes BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Lt Gen (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, Dr Moyeen Khan, Mirza Abbas, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy and Nazrul Islam Khan, among other, attended the meeting.
