DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi warned the government saying the negligence over the medical treatment of Khaleda Zia will not result in good. 

“Sheikh Hasina jailed her (Khaleda Zia) to let her suffer from hunger and lack of treatment. Khaleda’s fate does not depend on the court but it depends on Sheikh Hasina,” he added.

The senior BNP leader made the remarks at a press conference in party’s Naya Paltan party office on Sunday noon (September 9).

Rizvi said countrymen and party men both are gravely concerned on Khaleda’s life and illness. Her left hand, leg have became nearly numb so that she unable to stand up. After seeing her condition firsthand, journalists have published reports on it.

Despite the situation, AL joint general secretary Hanif and jail authority reiterating Khaleda Zia is not that sick and that she is suffering from her previous illness, he said.

Demanding for Khaleda’s immediate treatment in any private hospital, Rizvi said, “The statement of jail authority and AL leader about Khaleda Zia’s illness is nothing but a cruel mockery. The government has chosen a brutal plot to end her life in prison and the aftermath of such plot is not good.”
