DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday (September 14) alleged BNP of appointing lobbyist for surfacing complains against Awami League.

He has expressed his curiosity on how BNP has managed the fund for employing lobbyist.

According to Quader, BNP has to pay as per their agreement with lobbyist ‘Blue Star Strategic’ $20,000 for the month of August and $35,000 each of the other months.

Quader, also the minister for road transport & bridge, was addressing a function marking 10th founding anniversary of Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital in Dhaka.

“Why the lobbyist has been employed in the United States? This has been done to make us pressurized,” he added.

“This money (of funding) has come from London. You know who lives there, in London,” Quader added.
