DHAKA: The five-member medical board formed for convicted BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, submitted a health report to BSMMU authority, after examining her at the old central jail.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Director Brig Gen Abdullah Al Harun received the report around 11:45pm Sunday (Sept 16).

“We have examined Khaleda’s health condition yesterday (Saturday),” said Prof MA Jalil, chief of the medical board.

What the disease Khaleda Zia is suffering from, in where and what treatments should be taken—all were prescribed in the report, said Prof Jalil.

Khaleda Zia has been serving her five years’ sentence in Zia orphanage Trust graft case since February 8.

Her party leaders urged the administration to treat her at United Hospital which was categorically denied.
