Medical Board recommends Khaleda’s admission in hospital

DHAKA: The medical board, formed to examine BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s health in jail, submitted the report to BSMMU authority with recommendation to admit her in hospital.

In the report, doctors mentioned that Khaleda Zia is suffering from the same health problems she had earlier. However, she is experiencing pain in both legs and left hand.

Medical Board chief BSMMU Medicine department professor MA Jalil told Banglanews that Khaleda is not experiencing any new physical problem other what she had from earlier.

However, she is experiencing pain in her leg and can not make a fist using her left hand fingers due to pain.

“She should be admitted to a hospital to treat her current problems. She will feel better. That is why we prescribed hospitalization among other things,” he said.

However, she must be admitted to a hospital that has all facilities needed to conduct tests. That is why we recommended BSMMU.

Earlier on Sept 15, the medical board went to Dhaka central in Nazimuddin Road to examine Khaleda Zia and submitted the report today.

Khaleda Zia has been serving her five years’ sentence in Zia orphanage Trust graft case since February 8.

Her party leaders urged the administration to treat her at United Hospital which was categorically denied.
