The two-time champions Bashundhara Kings were put in Group B of the upcoming 34th Bashundhara Group Federation Cup 2022-23 along with Chittagong Abahoni Ltd, Muktijoddha SKC and Fortis FC.

Kings, who clinched this title twice in 2019–20 and 2020-21 editions, pulled out their participation from the last 2021-22 edition to show their protest against Bangladesh Football Federation’s unethical fixture format and venue.    

However, the federation scheduled all group matches of this edition in three different venues – Gopalganj, Munshiganj and Cumilla. The fixture for knockout phase is yet to be published. 

Another former champions Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Ltd were put in Group C along with last year’s champions Dhaka Abahani Ltd and Police Football Club.
