2nd Test against India: Bangladesh 71-4 at lunch on Day3

Bangladesh have lost four wickets on Day 3 of the ongoing second Test against India at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur of Dhaka.

Axar Patel bagged the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim while Jaydev Unadkat dismissed Shakib Al Hasan.

Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Siraj struck early as Bangladesh lost the wickets of Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque.

Bangladesh resumed play today at 7/0, trailing India by 80 runs.

The home still needs 16 runs to weather the deficit as India put up 314 in their first innings, in reply of Bangladesh's 227. India's 87-run first innings lead now looked bigger.

Bangladesh might avoid the innings defeat but it is to be seen whether they could take the game to the fourth day at least.

Opener Zakir Hasan, playing his only second Test, resisted a disciplined bowling attack, batting on 37 at the first interval of the day with Liton Das yet to score.

On Day 2, Rishabh Pant enhanced his reputation of being team's biggest game-changer with a scintillating 93 that put India in a commanding position for a series clean sweep. His innings formed the cornerstone of India's first innings score of 314. Shreyas Iyer got out for 87 off 105 balls.
