Defending champions Bashundhara Kings thrashed Fortis FC 4-1 in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football 2022-23 Saturday (April 15) afternoon.
 
Bashundhara Kings dominated the first half 2-0 at the Bashundhara Sports Complex in the capital. They, however, dropped points against Azampur FC Uttara in the second phase opener.
 
Robson Robinho struck twice for the Kings in the 33rd and 45+2 minutes (2-0) while another Brazilian Dorielton Gomes netted two other goals in the 60th and 79th minutes (4-0).
 
Besides, Gambian forward Gaira Joof pulled one back for Fortis in the 93rd minute.
 
Bashundhara Kings with an unbeaten record of 34 points from 12 matches remained at the top of the table.
 
Meanwhile, today's other match between Dhaka Mohammedan and Bangladesh Police ended in a 1-1 draw at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.
