A Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Tuesday (June 6) that they have decided to take responsibility for ailing former national goalkeeper Mohammad Mohsin.
BCB’s Chief Executive Officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed that their President Nazmul Hassan Papon told them to take responsibility for Mohsin after he noticed that he has been going through trying times in the different news media and social media platforms.
“We have spoken with his family and they wanted us to take responsibility for his (Mohsin’s) health,” Nizamuddin told reporters in Mirpur.
“Apart from that he has got some legal issues regarding his land and we have decided that our legal team will assist him in this regard,” he concluded.
Mohsin, who represented Abahani, Mohammedan and Muktijoddha during his playing days, was a star goalkeeper for Bangladesh national football team and also led them in international matches between 1980s and 1990s.
