Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan reached Dubai on Saturday in a short trip to complete a photo shoot and sponsorship for Bangla Tigers, a T10 franchise competing in the Abu Dhabi T10.
It is understood that Shakib will be staying in Dubai for a couple of days for Bangla Tigers shooting purposes but will not be featuring in the ongoing tournament due to a finger injury.
Shakib, who played for Bangla Tigers in the previous season, was picked to play for them in the ongoing T10 tournament but could not take part in the tournament due to a finger injury that he sustained during the ICC World Cup.
Shakib is expected to be on the ground to inspire Bangla Tigers during the next two days by attending their game.
Shakib was ruled out from the ICC World Cup following the game against Sri Lanka.
Besides, he could not make himself available for the ongoing Test series against New Zealand and the white ball tour of New Zealand, slated following the Test series.
Shakib is passing a busy time as he entered politics this year through his nomination by the ruling Awami League for the Magura-1 constituency, to contest in the 12th parliamentary election, scheduled for 7 January.
