Visiting US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu has wished his best for the Bangladesh cricket team.

Lu visited Bashundhara Sporting Club Complex and took part in a friendly match with Bangladesh women's national cricket team on Wednesday afternoon. Peter Haas, US ambassador to Bangladesh, also participated in the match.

While talking to the reporters after ending the match, he expressed his overall satisfaction and wished his best for the cricket team.

“Bangladeshi people are very fond of cricket. We are happy as the US is going to arrange the cricket series,” he said.

Bashundhara Group Vice-Chairman Safwan Sobhan welcomed the Donald Lu and Peter Haas by handing over a bucket of flowers when they reached the club complex.     

All members of the Bangladesh women's national cricket team were present at that time.
