Jannik Sinner delivered a clinical masterclass to dismantle Novak Djokovic in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4, and book his place in the Wimbledon final against defending champion Carlos Alcaraz.

On Centre Court, Sinner’s precision and athleticism eclipsed the 38-year-old Serbian star, ending Djokovic’s bid for a historic 25th Grand Slam crown.

It was a humbling afternoon for Djokovic, who acknowledged the toll of time. “These guys are young, explosive. I went in with the tank half-empty,” he admitted. “This isn’t about luck—it’s age, pure and simple.”

Sinner, 23, reached his first Wimbledon final with a display that mirrored Djokovic’s prime-era prowess.

It also sets up a compelling sequel to last month's French Open final, where Sinner fell narrowly short in five sets despite leading by two and holding championship points.

The Italian has now reached the men’s singles final at three consecutive Grand Slams, continuing a streak where either he or Alcaraz have featured in the last six major finals.

While Sinner’s previous Slam titles came on hard courts, he’s now eyeing grass-court glory against Alcaraz, a two-time champion at the All England Club.

Despite pre-match injury concerns, Sinner showed no signs of elbow trouble. In contrast, Djokovic required medical attention after the second set and later revealed he had considered pulling out entirely.

Though Djokovic briefly threatened a comeback in the third, Sinner snatched five consecutive games to shut the door on a revival. This marks Sinner’s sixth straight victory over Djokovic, but notably his first on grass.

Alcaraz advanced earlier with a hard-fought four-set win over Taylor Fritz, setting the stage for a riveting Wimbledon finale. A chance for redemption looms large for Sinner.

“I’m honoured to face Carlos again,” said the Italian. “It’s tough to top our last match, but we’ll give it everything and hope it’s one for the fans to remember.”

From Paris to London, the Alcaraz–Sinner saga continues—and the stakes couldn’t be higher.
