Cristiano Ronaldo reached a historic milestone on Saturday, becoming the first player to score 100 goals for Al-Nassr since joining the Saudi club at the start of 2023.

The Portuguese forward achieved the feat during the Saudi Super Cup final against Al-Ahli at Hong Kong Stadium. He converted a penalty in the 41st minute to open the scoring.

Despite Ronaldo’s landmark goal, Al-Nassr could not secure the trophy, losing to Al-Ahli in a penalty shootout. The result extended the 40-year-old’s wait for silverware with the Riyadh-based side.

Ronaldo’s extraordinary career tally continues to grow. He remains the all-time leading scorer at Real Madrid with 450 goals across nine years, netted 145 times in two separate spells with Manchester United, and struck 101 goals for Juventus.

The forward now stands a little more than 60 goals away from the unprecedented milestone of 1,000 career goals, a record that would further cement his place in football history.

As he edges closer to that figure, Ronaldo will also be seeking to deliver a major trophy for Al-Nassr finally.
