Pakistan are set to tour Bangladesh in the final week of March 2026 for a bilateral cricket series featuring two Tests and three One-Day Internationals, officials confirmed.
However, the previously scheduled three-match Twenty20 series, part of the ICC’s Future Tours Programme, has been dropped. Both boards have agreed to prioritise the longer formats this time, following discussions in the wake of the T20 World Cup.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has already sent a proposed itinerary to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), though dates and venues are yet to be finalised.
Pakistan last visited Bangladesh in July 2024 for a T20 series. Officials say the upcoming tour offers Bangladesh a valuable opportunity to test themselves against a major opponent in the longer formats.
Pakistan will travel to Bangladesh directly after completing a home series against Australia in February, following the T20 World Cup. A formal announcement will be made once the schedule is confirmed.
