BENAPOLE, JESSORE: An 11-member team of Bangladesh swimmers on Friday went to India to join in a swimming competition. 

The swimmers are- Shariful Islam, Rubel Rana, Sonia Khatun, Nazma Aktar, Ashikur, Palash, Jewel, Sijarul Islam and Jewel Ahmed. 

Under the leading of Bangladesh Swimming Federation General Secretary Rafiz Uddin, the swimmers entered into India through Petrapole check post at 12:00pm. 

Rafiz Uddin told banglanews that the team will join in world’s longest swimming competition at Murshidabad. 

He expressed hope that the swimming competition will be started on September 7, where the players will bring fame for Bangladesh.
