DHAKA: Bangladesh is set to face Zimbabwe in first test match of the three match Bashundhara Cement test series at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday morning. 

Zimbabwe have won the toss and have chosen to bat.

The 5-day match is scheduled to begin at 09:30 am local time. 

Bangladesh has been starving for a noteworthy win for the last 12 months. Bangladesh's last significant performance was drawing both Tests against New Zealand and beating them 3-0 in the ODIs in October last year. 

Ten months into 2014 and Zimbabwe will only play their second Test of the year. 

Brendan Taylor will lead out a team full of spunk, something that Michael Clarke's Australia would vouch for after losing to them in an ODI recently. 

On the other hand, the return of Shakib Al Hasan for Bangladesh, after serving a truncated suspension, could ultimately make the difference between the two sides, espncricinfo.com reported.

This is the first time DRS (Decision Review System) will be used in Bangladesh.
