KHULNA: Shakib Al Hasan’s 107 not out and Tamim Iqbal’s 109 helped Bangladesh score 336 run for 5 after 133-over on Day-2 of the second Test against Zimbabwe in Khulna Tuesday.

Earlier in the morning, Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan resumed the innings with 74 and 13 runs respectively.

According to espncricinfo.com, a strike-rate of 32.83 is not often associated with Tamim; none of his previous four century-plus scores have been that slow.

He tried hard not to be sucked into expansive drives and a majority of his runs came when the bowlers were frustrated into bowling too straight at him.

He collected 72 runs for the second wicket with Mominul Haque and 132 for the 4th wicket with     Shakib Al Hasan before getting out.

Mahmudullah scored 56 runs, Mominul Haque 35 and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 11 runs.

Zimbabwean bowlers Panyangara bagged 2 wickets while Chigumbura and Hamilton Masakadza got one.

Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim earlier won the toss and decided to bat first in the match of the Bashundhara Cement Test Series.

On October 27, Bangladesh won the first Test match by three wickets at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.
