Rajshahi IJTC begins Monday

RAJSHAHI: A weeklong Rajshahi International Junior Tennis Championship (IJTC) 2014 (Under-18) will be begun at Zafar Imam Tennis Complex in Rajshahi from Monday (November 10).

Tournament director Kaisan Ahmed revealed this at a press conference in Rajshahi city on Saturday.

A total of 85 players, including 26 girls and 59 boys from 23 countries including the host Bangladesh will take part in the tournament, to be organized by Bangladesh Tennis Federation with the assistance of International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The participating countries include Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, the United States of America, Honk Kong, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Iceland and Dominican Republic.

However, the ITF approved White Badge Referee Joy Mukherjee will conduct the games of the tournament.
