DHAKA: The Walton International Rating Chess Tournament will start from 27 June Saturday at 11:30 am at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.

The eight-day long event is going to be organized by Bangladesh Chess Federation and sponsored by R B Group.

On the occasion, a press conference was held at Bangabandhu National Stadium conference room on Thursday afternoon.

Chess Federation General Secretary Gazi Saiful Tarek, Walton Group Senior Additional Director FM Iqbal bin Anwar, among others were present at the press meet.

The game will start 11:30am every day at game room of Chess Federation in Dhaka, says the organizer.

A total of 130 to 140 players will participate in the competition.

The event will be held in 9 round Swiss-League system with 8 days and total one lakh twenty thousand taka cash prize money will be given to the winners.

The event will end on July 4.
