DHAKA: Bangladesh are bowling against the visiting South Africa in the first day of the first test of two-match series at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong Tuesday.

South Africa captain Hashim Amla won the toss and choose to bat first in the match that started at 9:30am local time.

Meanwhile, 19-year old Mustafizur Rahman was the only debutant across both sides after South Africa chose to hold their newcomers back.

Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusingha believes that the series will be decided by how well the hosts handle South Africa’s ‘world-class pace attack’.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will seek to carry their limited-overs success into Tests and build solidity but they will have to contend with a South African side reinforced by the arrival of Dale Steyn, who has begun the four-finger countdown to get his 400 test wickets.
