DHAKA: Defeating Bhutan by 2-0 goal, Bangladesh Under-19 football team reached the semi-final round of SAFF Championships.

Rohit and Mannaf made the goals on the first half and took the lead for Bangladesh in Lalitpur Alfa Beta Complex in Nepal.

This is the first championship for Under-19 football team in SAFF.

However, Bangladesh is in group-A and it will play against host countries Nepal and Bhutan.

Earlier, Nepal defeated Bhutan by 3-1 goal paving Bangladesh to semi-final just with a victory.
 
Bangladesh will play against Nepal on August 24 as their 2nd match. The group-B includes India, Maldives and Afghanistan.

The semi-final will be held on August 27 and the final game on August 29.
