DHAKA: Sylhet Super Stars neat Dhaka Dynamites by six wickets with 1-ball remaining in the 27th Match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2015 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur of Dhaka Wednesday.
Winning the toss, Super Stars captain Shahid Afridi invited Dynamites to bat first.
Dhaka scored a fighting 157-run after their 20-over quota. Sangakkara’s 48-run steered their innings. Besides, Farhad Reza and Nasir Hossain scored 31-run each.
Abdur Razzak picked up two wickets of Dhaka while Mohammad Shahid, Rubel Hossain and RS Bopara took one wicket each.
In response, Super Stars got a fluent start. Their openers -- JJ Conn and Junaid Siddique -- scored 36-run in five overs. Later, the 86-run second wicket partnership between Junaid Siddique and RS Bopara in 10.3 overs set the tone.
Junaid Siddique scored 51-run off 44-ball while Bopara hit 54 off 40-ball. Besides, Sohail Tanvir, Shahid Afridi and JJ Cobb took 19, 15 and 15 runs respectively.
Farhad Reza took two wickets and Yasir Shah took one wicket.
Bopara was adjudged player of the match.
