W Indies need 228 to win

DHAKA: Umair Masood (113 off 113 ball) and Salman Fayyaz (58 off 80 balls) helped Pakistan to build a challenging score in the Quarterfinal of the ICC Under-19 World Cup on Monday (February 8).

In 50-over match, Pakistan Under-19s scored 227 runs for six wickets after losing early five wickets.

Chasing the 228-run target set by Pakistan, can West Indies become the only non-Asian team to enter the semi-finals?

Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka have already entered into semifinals.

Pakistan Under-19s won the toss and elected to bat in the match that began at 9:00am at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah in Narayanganj.

Pakistan progressed to Quarterfinals by winning all their three games in Group B.

However, West Indies qualified for the next stage through rather controversial circumstances.
