Bangladesh set 134-run target

DHAKA: Bangladesh posed a fighting total of 133-run losing eight wickets in their 20-over quota against United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the third match of Asia Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in city on Friday (February 26).

Earlier, UAE captain Amjad Javed won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat first.

Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah, Soumya Sarkar and Shakib Al Hasan scored 47, 36, 21 and 13 runs respectively to set the target of 134-run for UAE.

Mohammad Naveed and Amjad Javed picked up three wickets each while Mohammad Shahzad and Rohan Mustafa took one wicket each.

Both Bangladesh and UAE brought one change to their respective side. Nurul Hasan comes in Imrul Kayes for Bangladesh while Qadeer is replaced by Fahad Tariq for UAE.

This is a must win match for the Tigers to sustain hopes for the final.
