Sri Lanka facing 148-target

Dhaka: Sri Lanka batsmen are facing Bangladesh-set 148-run target in fifth match of Asia Cup at Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

The match started at 7:30pm Sunday, half an hour after Tigers captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza chose to bat first winning the toss.

Bangladesh lost openers too early and stuck in a risky situation, but Sabbir, Shakib and Riyadh led the team to manage a fighting score hitting 80, 32 and 23 runs respectively.

Sri Lankan bowler Chamera bagged three wickets.

Sri Lanka are placed second in the points table, after their win against UAE, but they have lost seven of their last 10 T20 matches. Bangladesh, on the other hand, are third with one win from two matches, and have become a new force in ODIs at home.
