Tigers chasing target 130

DHAKA: Bangladesh started chasing the 130-run target set by Pakistan in the eighth match of Asia Cup-2016 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in city.

Earlier Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi won the toss and decided to bat first on Wednesday (March 2).

They have scored 129 runs losing seven wickets in their 20-over quota.

Sarfraz Ahmed hit a blazing 58-run off 42 balls helping his team to reach the total. Besides, Shoaib Malik scored 41-run.

Of the Bangladesh bowlers, Arafat Sunny and Al-Amin Hossain picked up two wickets while Taskin Ahmed and Mashrafe Mortaza took one wicket each.

Bangladesh’s win will ensure their smooth progress into the final against India.

Bangladesh have brought two changes in the must win match.

Tamim Iqbal and Arafat Sunny are in replacing Mustafizur Rahman and Nurul Hasan.
