DHAKA: Tiger Captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza reiterated that they will give their best in the Asia Cup-2016 final against India, scheduled to begin at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in city’s Mirpur area on Sunday evening (March 6).

The red-green jersey captain made this assertion while addressing a press conference in city on Saturday (March 5).

Bangladesh confirmed their place in the dream final of Asia Cup by beating Pakistan in a virtually semi-final match on March 2.

The captain also observed anything can happen if each and every Bangladesh player give their hundred percent in the field.

“There is no doubt that India is no. one team in T20. They are a very good team in ODI as well as in Test cricket. Their batting line is very strong. Their top six batsmen are so accomplished that any one of them can snatch away victory in any match.”

“Our bowlers, however, will not allow them to go it easily. There is no alternative to check their batsmen in the final match.”

Mashrafe also said, “First six overs are very important and our bowlers need to contain India batsmen”.

He further said, “Last overs of the innings in T20 matches are also can be damaging for a side. We will remain alert on that side too”.

The captain further said that a good opportunity has been created. “This type of chance does not come always. We want to utilize that opportunity.”

Thanking the spectators, Mashrafe said, “Their inspiration has brought us to this place. The inspirations of the spectators are the part of our match and also for our success”.

He called the fans to extend their whole-hearted supports in the final on Sunday.

He, however, also put emphasis on controlling emotions on-filed saying, “Emotion is very natural. Even it is difficult to control. It must be kept in mind that we are going to play against India. We want to play a natural game controlling our emotions”.
