DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed the former Sri Lanka batsman Thilan Samaraweera as Bangladesh batting consultant for the forthcoming home series against England.
Besides, current fielding coach Richard Halsall has been made assistant coach.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon made the announcement after returning from Singapore on Friday morning (September 2).
While talking to journalists at airport, he also said: “Thilan Samaraweera has been hired for the England series as a consultant”.
“We will see if we want to extend him. We are still looking for a spin bowling coach. We hope to appoint one before the New Zealand series,” he added.
