DHAKA: Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed and left arm spinner Arafat Sunny will leave the country on Monday night (September 5) to appear in a bowling action test at National Cricket Centre lab in Brisbane of Australia.
Their tests have been scheduled on September 8. Taskin’s test will be held at 10.30am (local time) while Sunny’s test at 2.00pm.
Chandika Hathurusingha, head coach of national cricket team, will accompany his pupils there. They will practice on the day before their tests and are expected to return home on September 11.
Publication of the results, however, could take up to three weeks.
Sunny and Taskin were reported for suspect bowling actions during a World T20 match against Netherlands in India earlier this year.
Later, they were suspended from bowling as their actions during some of the deliveries found illegal after testing at Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai of India. The duo has been working on their bowling actions since then.
